From Commander games and flexible On Demand Events to competitive showdowns and formats you can’t play anywhere else, Ticketed Play is where the Magic literally happens. With over 100 events spanning every playstyle, there’s no “right” way to do MagicCon, just your way.

Scheduled Ticketed Play: The Main Event
Scheduled Ticketed Play events are curated, structured experiences featuring a wide range of formats, products, clever twists, and coveted prizes all run by expert staff.
Every event is tagged by playstyle (Social, Competitive, or Challenging), making it easy to find your vibe. Whether you’re chasing glory or great games, there’s something here for you.

Represent Your School in Mage Tower Showdown
Strixhaven’s ultimate test of skill and strategy awaits. Mage Tower Showdown is where loyalty, cunning, and Magic prowess collide—and where your school pride could be the difference between victory and defeat.
In this sealed league inspired by Strixhaven's official sport, you’ll choose your school and compete across six league matches tracked over the weekend, with every game pushing your campus closer to supremacy. You’ll also receive a school scarf, so everyone knows who you’re representing when matches begin.

- Lorehold: For diligent researchers and daring adventurers! Gather in Kollema Hall and let history guide your hand.
- Prismari: For artists, musicians, and expressive mages. The world is a stage, and Mage Tower is your canvas!
- Quandrix: Math is Magic! For sharp minds and puzzle-solvers who find power in the numbers.
- Silverquill: Words cut deeper than swords! For those who want to turn the tides with ambition and wit.
- Witherbloom: Nature calls! For those who want to grow, drain, or bend life to their will to claim victory.

Secret Lair: [REDACTED] Presents Not a Magic: The Gathering Event with Mark Rosewater
Some experiences are better when you don’t know what you’re getting into.
This Secret Lair event drops you into a fast, experimental play experience built around something brand new from Wizards of the Coast. Created by renowned designer Mark Rosewater, and available for the first time at MagicCon, this is your chance to be among the first to discover—and play—something unexpected.
Just trust us: this is one you’ll want to say you were there for.
Savvy Pin Trading 101
Veggie Wagon has arrived at MagicCon as your de facto Strixhaven economics professor. Savvy Pin Traders is where pins and pack-cracking meet deal-making. Enjoy scheduled time for trading, social play, and deckbuilding, before rolling into a weekend long sealed league where every swap matters.
Your entry gets you everything you need to start trading, including two Secrets of Strixhaven Collector Boosters and four Secrets of Strixhaven Play Boosters. And if you’re just in it for the pins, you’ll also receive an exclusive Savvy Pin Trader League pin you won’t find anywhere else plus a mystery pin blind bag.
Magic: The Menu (hosted by Brian David-Marshall)
Pull up a chair and bring your appetite. Magic: The Menu is a hosted, multi-course Magic experience curated by Brian David-Marshall, where the menu is never the same, and every round is a surprise.
This sealed experience is meant to be savored. Expect a decadent mix of Chef’s choice products which feature a minimum of 20 boosters including play, set, collector, and promo boosters plus more. It’s equal parts game night and tasting menu, and there’s nothing else like it at MagicCon.
Command Zone: Commander All Weekend Long
If Commander is your love language, the Command Zone will be the heart of MagicCon for you.
This free-play area is dedicated entirely to Commander and is one of the easiest ways to jump into games all weekend long. Judges are available to help with rules and matchmaking, and the Commander Bracket System ensures pods where everyone’s on the same page.
On Demand Events: Magic on Your Schedule
Walking the show floor and suddenly feeling the urge to play right now? On Demand Events (ODEs) are fast, flexible, and firing all weekend long.
They’re perfect for squeezing in games between panels, shopping, meet-and-greets, or just following where the fun takes you. Grab vouchers, find a table, and play with no advanced planning required.
