Use of MagicCon Event Name
If you are referring to a specific MagicCon event, please ensure there is a colon between MagicCon and the city name, such as MagicCon: Las Vegas.
Our event name should be written out as ‘MagicCon’ all one word, no space, capitol M & C when referring to the show. There is never a hyphen between the words Magic and Con. There is never a lowercase ‘c’ in ‘Con’. Any other spellings or abbreviations of our name are incorrect.
Reminder: Any use of the MagicCon logo, or Magic brand marks on printed or digital materials MUST be approved by the MagicCon team prior to being printed or promoted. Please contact us with a sample of how you plan to use the logo and we will provide feedback quickly.
Use of MagicCon Feature Titles
- ‘Command Zone’ is always two words.
- ‘MagicCon’ —one word, no space.
- ‘MagicCon: Las Vegas’—always include the colon before the city.
- Show areas are always capitalized, like ‘Art of Magic’ and ‘Gathering Grounds’
- When referring to ODEs or on demand events, the full name should be used the first time, and ODE or ODEs thereafter.
- Ticketed play events / ticketed play schedule follows lowercase/standard sentence case depending on use (header etc.). When referring to the Ticketed Play Area it should be capitalized.

The full-color purple & silver version should be the default logo used in application, unless legibility is a concern, in which case us an all-white or all-black version as needed.

Correct
When utilizing the logo in single color, make sure to use the black logo on white or light backgrounds…
…And the white logo on black or dark backgrounds.
Incorrect
Do not change the size of the logo non-proportionally. Don’t squish, twist, or elongate.
Do not rearrange the logo in any way.
Do not rotate the logo.
Do not place the logo on artwork or photos where legibility is an issue. Using a one-color version of the logo, either black or white can help in these instances.
MagicCon Hierarchy
The name of the city where MagicCon is taking place should sit flush right underneath the word CON in the logo, and should be sized appropriately to take up the horizontal space under that word.
Usage Rights
The MagicCon Logo can be used by all Magic: The Gathering licensees who are attending the show, though any/all items containing the logo must be submitted for approval and include the appropriate legal line.
Exhibitors who are not official licnesees who are attending the show and wish to use the logo must seek permission to do so. Please contact Wizards to begin that process.
The stylized logo/show specific logos (such as the MagicCon: Atlanta peach logo) may not be used by anyone without express written approval by Wizards of the Coast.
Legal Line
Any digital or print media such as (but not limited to) social media assets, flyers, videos, postcards, products etc. That contain the MagicCon Logo, Magic: The Gathering logo, or Magic brand marks, trademarks or IP must have the full and correct legal line as displayed on this page.
Additional brand guidelines for Universes Beyond properties are available upon request to those approved to work with UB properties.
Please note, if product or media will be physically printed, creatred or used in new calendar year, legal line must be updated to reference correct year.
If a product or print item utilizes the MagicCon logo, it must include TM next to the logo.
Legal line should not be combined with any other legal lines and needs to be its own sentence. Legal line should not be shortened or modified.
