A Taste of Ticketed Play
A Taste of Ticketed Play
Ticketed Play events are the places where Magic designers and personalities push the boundaries of what is possible in a Magic event. Whether you’re looking to test your mettle against the best of the best as you vie for a spot at the Pro Tour or you just want to play one giant, three-hundred person Commander game or almost anything in between, Ticketed Play has an offering that’s bound to pique your interest.
Standard Best-of-One with CovertGoBlue
Would you prefer to skip out on side boarding? Do you have a need for speed? Quench it with Standard best-of-one events run by the self-proclaimed One in Best of One, CovertGoBlue! With eight 25-minute rounds, you’ll have a chance to see if you, too, are a best-of-one champion. Maximize your game play and minimize the time spent side boarding, shuffling up for game three, or waiting on those other matches to finish!
Participants will be halfway on the path to matching the One in Best of One themselves when they receive their blue sunglasses. Additional prizes for this event include dice, prize tix, jumbo cards, and even an uncut sheet for players with 24 match points! You’ve got two chances, one each on Friday and Saturday, so register now.
Play Magic with Brian David-Marshall
Want to pack light but still play Commander? Brian David-Marshall has the events for you!
BDM is hosting Grand Melee Full Box Commander Sealed, in which you’ll build a Commander deck from 24 packs of Mystery Booster 2. You’ll then play a game of Commander, but Grand Melee style, meaning that all event participants are playing one giant game of Commander.
You can also close out your weekend with BDM by playing in his Commander Boxing League featuring Commander Party. You’ll build your deck with 30 play boosters of Tarkir: Dragonstorm and play league games across the weekend. During Sunday’s Commander Party, however, you’ll be immersed in the world of Tarkir: Dragonstorm, and decisions you make will affect the whole event!
Race the Storm
A storm is coming. Are you prepared to withstand the high speed winds? Or can you rise above and ride the very storm itself. Bring your best standard deck to battle it out for 3 rounds flying top speed into a Tarkir: Dragonstorm Draft. Top 8 finishers draft Tarkir: Dragonstorm for a Magic skinned Alienware desktop computer!

Each Savvy Trader event has scheduled time to meet up with other players in the event to build decks and swap cards and pins, and you’ll then have the remainder of the MagicCon to play your league-style games.
In addition to the two Tarkir: Dragonstorm Collector Boosters and four Tarkir: Dragonstorm Play Boosters you’ll receive to build your deck for the event, you’ll also get an exclusive Savvy Pin Trader Sealed League pin and a Mystery Pin blind bag. Venture into the TRULY Unknown
What do we know about the Unknown Flashback Grand Melee Full Box Sealed event? Well, Matt Tabak, one of the tallest people at Wizards of the Coast, will be there, and that means that truly anything is on the table! We also know that you’ll be building a Sealed deck from 24 packs of Mystery Booster 2 as well as ??????? and maybe some “...” for good measure. We know that you’ll be playing Grand Melee style, meaning there is one giant game encompassing all players in the event, and you’ll get 500 prize tix for playing and another 500 prize tix for each player you knock out of the event. And the rest of it? Well, the rest of it is all a mystery that can only be unraveled by being there.
