Meet Your Heroes at MagicCon: Atlanta

MagicCon: Atlanta is shaping up to be a gathering of incredible proportions, and some of your favorite Magic Special Guests, artists, creators, designers and more will be in attendance!

Ticketed Play Guests

Get ready to sit down and shuffle up with some of your favorite Magic personalities! You know them and you follow them for their Magic streams, videos, hot takes, and gameplay, and in Ticketed Play you can now play in an event with them. Our lineup of spectacular Ticketed Play guests are bringing back some of MagicCon’s most fun and popular formats.

Play Grand Melee - Deluxe Sealed or Commander Full Box Sealed with Ify Nwadiwe and Brian David Gilbert of Um, Actually. They’re hosting two events, one where you’ll build your Commander deck from a full box of Edge of Eternities, and the other where you’ll build it from  Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel's Spider-Man.

Enjoy Commander and Cocktails, Commander Boxing League, or Deluxe Commander Sealed Draft with Brian David-Marshall. Commander and Cocktails is a particular MagicCon favorite, and participants go home with a special tiki mug and a recipe card for a cocktail specially crafted for the event!

Gavin Verhey will of course return with his massively popular Unknown events, including one benefitting Extra Life, and, for the first time ever, an Unknown two-headed giant to double the chaos!

Plus, LoadingReadyRun returns with Chaos Chaos Chaos, Becca Scott will host a Commander PreConBattle and a Constructed Commander Challenge, VeggieWagon will welcome you to the Savvy Traders Edge of Eternities Deluxe Sealed Event, and CovertGoBlue returns with Best of One Standard Constructed!

Featured Artists

Rebecca Guay, Ryan Pancoast, and Scott M Fischer are the three featured artists of MagicCon: Atlanta!

Rebecca Guay’s gorgeous, romantic, and ethereal work first appeared in Alliances in 1996, and she’s been enchanting Magic fans with her art ever since. Find out more about Rebecca Guay by visiting her website or her Instagram.

Ryan Pancoast has been bringing some of players’ favorite Magic characters and scenes to life since 2008. A longtime illustrator, he originally learned oils in an effort to create art for Wizards of the Coast, and today his work includes art for iconic cards like Master of the Pearl Trident, Ayara, First of Lochthwain, and Elite Spellbinder. Find out more about Ryan Pancoast by visiting his website or Instagram.

Scott Fischer’s bold and dynamic artwork first appeared in Mirage in 1996, and he’s created almost 200 works of art for Magic cards in the years since. Fischer’s works include powerful angels through Magic’s history, including Serra Avenger and Pristine Angel. Find out more about Scott Fischer by visiting his website or Instagram.

In addition, the Art of Magic hosts dozens of incredible artists who have illustrated cards throughout the game’s history. They come prepared with prints, playmats, and more to sell, and, of course, they’re ready to sign your cards!

Game Knights Live

Game Knights Live returns for MagicCon: Atlanta, with regulars Jimmy Wong, Josh Lee Kwai, and Rachel Weeks, this time joined by special guest Jacob Bertrand! Bertrand is best known for his role as Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz in the television show Cobra Kai, and he’s been a guest on both Game Knights Live and on Game Knights’ YouTube channel before.

The Game Knights Live in Las Vegas featured nothing less than a live marching band; the only way to know how they’re going to top that is to be sure you get to the Mana Stage early to grab a seat and get ready to enjoy the show!
