The MagicCon: Barcelona $75,000 Limited Open
Europe – we are listening! Due to the popularity of the Vegas $100,000 Limited Open event, we are adding a similar event to the ticketed play offerings at MagicCon: Barcelona and making a slight change to the ticketed play schedule.
The MagicCon: Barcelona $75,000 Limited Open is a competitive event that boasts a large prize pool and the chance to win invitations to our first 2024 Pro Tour taking place at MagicCon: Chicago in February. This event is perfect for people who are interested in playing in a large, multi-day tournament.
The $75,000 Limited Open costs €135 to enter (price is inclusive of VAT and fees) and participants will need to buy a Friday and Saturday MagicCon: Barcelona badge to participate in the event. MagicCon: Barcelona attendees will be able to purchase this ticketed play add-on from Thursday, June 29 at 6 AM PT/ 3 PM CEST via mcbarcelona.mtgfestivals.com .
If you have already purchased a badge for MagicCon: Barcelona, log in to your Growtix account dashboard using the email associated with your purchase. If you are unable to login, select “Click here to reset your password” from the login page. Once you have logged in, you will have access to purchase this new event.
This event will replace the Friday, July 28 Pro Tour Qualifier. All MagicCon: Barcelona attendees who have signed up to participate in this PTQ can choose to be added to the Limited Open event at no extra charge or can opt to have their PTQ entry refunded. Please note, this event has a maximum capacity of 1200 players.

Formats
Day 1 (Friday, July 28) – The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-earth Sealed Deck
- Eight Rounds of Swiss.
- Players with 18 or more match points advance to Day 2.
Day 2 (Saturday, July 29) – The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-earth Booster Draft
- Two three-round The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-earth drafts. Top 8 players advance to a final draft on Sunday.
- All players with 36 match points, a match record of 12–2 or better, or a Top 8 finish, whichever is greater, qualify for the Pro Tour.
Day 3 Top 8 (Sunday, July 30) – The Lord of the Rings: Tales from Middle-earth Single-Elimination

Additional Prizes: Minimum eight invites to the first Pro Tour of 2024 (All players with 36 match points, a match record of 12–2 or better, or earning a Top 8 finish, whichever is greater, receive a Pro Tour invite. Invites will not pass down.) taking place this February at MagicCon: Chicago.
