Play, The MainStage, Artists and More at MagicCon: Las Vegas!

Below are some schedule highlights of what play events you can expect during the weekend:  

The Las Vegas $100k Limited Open – the only event open NOW for registration!

With a prize pool of $100,000 and many Pro Tour slots up for grabs, this event is sure to be a highlight of the MagicCon: Las Vegas weekend! The format is Wilds of Eldraine sealed deck – so you need nothing with you but your entry and your deckbuilding skills to be part of this great tournament. Register today! More details can be found here. This event is capped at 2000 players, so make sure to register today! Entry is $160.

Pro Tour Qualifier

Want to flex your competitive skills and earn an invite directly to Pro Tour? This tournament is for you! There are tons of prizes on the line and 4 invites to the next Pro Tour. The format is Wilds of Eldraine sealed deck – so you need nothing with you but your entry and your deckbuilding skills to be part of this great tournament. This event is capped at 850 players, so make sure to register as soon as possible! Entry is $125.

Secret Lair Showdown  

Go head-to-head with other players to try and win the fourth and final Brainstorm Secret Lair prize card! With four Modern qualifiers, one Friday and three on Saturday, players will vie for one of the 32 seats in the Secret Lair Showdown Championship. Players will all receive a Fatal Push Secret Lair card for participating in a qualifier. Those with enough skill to make it to the championship will all receive a Ragavan, Nimble Pilifier Secret Lair card. These tournaments are perfect for competitors AND collectors. These events are capped at 256 players, so make sure to register as soon as possible! Entry is $125.

Boosters, fun, chaos, and unique gameplay are at the heart of the Unknown experience! Enjoy the tournament that is never the same twice as Gavin Verhey leads everyone down a Magical path of extraordinary gameplay mixed with a variety of Magic card goodness. With one event on Saturday and one on Sunday, be certain to sign up for the event that works best for you! All proceeds from the Saturday Unknown tournament go to ExtraLife! These events are capped at 600 players, so make sure to register as soon as possible! Entry is $60.

LoadingReadyRun Presents CHAOS!

Join LoadingReadyRun on Saturday for, well, Chaos! Members of the LRR Crew will bring the fun and the cards – you need to bring your wits and be ready for whatever they throw at you! Make sure to register as soon as possible! Entry is $50.

Commander and Cocktails with Brian David-Marshall

Join BDM Friday night as he discusses brewing Commander decks and Cocktails while you brew a new Commander deck for the weekend’s Commander Boxing League. You will receive 24 assorted boosters to create your deck with, a League card to play games and win prizes and a unique BDM recipe for one of his specialty crafted cocktails! Make sure to register as soon as possible! Entry is $125.

Team Play

Bring a friend, family member, whoever you want to join one of our multiplayer events – Two Headed Giant (2 player) or Team Trios (3 player). Help each other through a few rounds of fun in these casual tournaments. Make sure to register as soon as possible!

On Demand Events

Don’t want to schedule any tournaments, but want to play? There will be team, commander, constructed and draft formats available all weekend! Make sure to register as soon as possible!

CommandZone

Looking for Commander games? Head over to the CommandZone which features free matchmaking and access to optional variants for your choice of Commander fun! The CommandZone is free to enter for all MagicCon attendees. Make sure to register as soon as possible! 

With a Preview panel, Secret Lair panel, John Avon Music and Art panel, Magic Story Podcast panel and more to look forward to, and spectacle events like Game Knights Live, the Cosplay Contest and a World Championship watch party– there is so much exciting content taking place on the Las Vegas Main Stage!  

In addition to this, we have added an extra panel room to accommodate our fantastic line-up of Community Panels taking place in Vegas. These panels have been tailor-made for the community and by the community and are often more intimate (and sometimes interactive!) so be sure to check them out and show the panelists some support!  

Details around the panels and events taking place on both the Main Stage and in the Panel Room will be shared on our website on Tuesday, August 22 at 10 AM PST.A reminder that requests for ASL, closed captioning, guided tours or other forms of effective communication must be made by August 30th.
